Welcome to Lake Front Getaway. This house is all decked out with fun for all guests! Surrounded by mature towering pines, right on the lake (Metcalf Bay). It’s an idyllic mix of forest, lake, adventure, and serenity for your getaway.

The Home- 2,500 sq feet mostly renovated. Two floors (lower 3rd is being renovated, available soon). Views of lake and meadow nearby. 5 bedrooms, 4 with king sized beds. All rooms have smart televisions. 3 bathrooms, one on each level with one in the primary bedroom. Large living room with plenty of seating. Large gaming garage doubles as a second living area. Private dock (lake levels vary). We are licensed for 12 maximum adults with 2 children. Infants do count towards the total guest count.
Please note: Bedrooms 2 & 3 are attached. You must walk through bedroom 2 to access bedroom 3. Great for a family sharing space. One bedroom is on the main level. All bedrooms have darkening curtains.
Bedroom 1 (Primary, Main level) -King sized bed, nightstands with USB port, walk in closet, chaise, ceiling fan, large & smart tv. Access to the primary bathroom.
Bedroom 2 (upstairs)- King sized bed, nightstands with USB port, armchair, closet, large smart tv, desk with chair, ceiling fan. Patio access and gorgeous views. Entry into bedroom 3.
Bedroom 3 (upstairs, through bedroom 2)- King sized bed, nightstands with USB port, desk with chair, large smart tv, ceiling fan. Patio access.
Bedroom 4 (upstairs)- Three queen sized beds, nightstands with USB port walk in closet, ceiling fan, large smart tv, access to back patio.
Bedroom 5 (upstairs)- King sized bed, nightstands with USB port, closet, built in shelves, ceiling fan, large smart tv, patio access.
We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton rounds, q tips, and floss picks. We do provide limited hand towels and washcloths. 14 bath towels are provided. (Not for lake use, please bring extra for lake.) Bathrooms have not been renovated yet.

Bathroom 2 (Main level, Primary)- Double vanity, enclosed shower, and bathtub.

Kitchen- Visible from living room. Full-sized fridge, gas stove, 6 burner range, microwave, and dishwasher to help you create wonderful meals. If you prefer take-out, no worries! Fully stocked with all utensils, dishware, and cookware. You have access to the pantry for food storage. Basic spices are provided, but not guaranteed. A small 3-person table in kitchen along with counter top seating for 4.
A starter pack of paper towels and trash bags are provided. Along with dish soap, coffee grounds, and sugar.
Coffee set up- Enjoy 12 cup drip & Keurig to start your day right.
Dining- Located near the kitchen. Seating for 10 at the large dining table, with 2 large benches and 2 stools. Additional seating in kitchen and bar counter. Sliding door to the back patio.
Living room- Large sofa, love seat, 1 arm-chair, wood burning fireplace, 4 switch controllers, large smart tv to stream your favorite apps. Door to garage gaming area and sliding door to back patio.
Fireplace- Gas fireplace in the living room. No need to buy wood.
Gaming Exercise garage- Not your standard gaming garage. This room is a second living room, gym, and gaming space. Large couch, large smart tv, pool table, shuffleboard, and access to back deck. Free weights and bench to get your exercise in. Use gym equipment at own risk.
Parking- Concrete driveway for 5 vehicles. You may need AWD, 4x4, and chains in winter months due to being in a high snow area of town. No garage parking as it is strictly a living room/gaming area.
EV (coming soon)- Charger available for no extra charge. We do not provide any type of cords or adapters. Universal 220v.
Pets- We only allow fully trained dogs, with a 2-dog maximum and non-refundable pet fee. No puppies or other types of animals are permitted. We do provide poop bags and treats. The property is not fully fenced. Additional charges may occur to urine/feces, excessive fur, or damage to the home due to pet. All dogs must be added to the reservation, age and breed must be disclosed. We do not discriminate against breed but do like to know.
Backyard/deck- Large deck areas. 8-person spa with privacy lattice. We are right on the lake edge. Please note that the property is private. The lake shore is public, there can be people walking in the area, but are not allowed on the dock or yard.
Dock- Long dock. We do move it frequently to have lake access. The dock is not shared. If you plan on docking a boat, please note water levels vary. We aren't in the deepest portion of lake. If looking for a deeper water home reach out. Lake shoreline is public and may have people wandering.
Storage- Access to a storage closet for ski gear or luggage. This is not climate controlled. Available only on check in day. There is no access in the home or parking until check in time or otherwise granted. This is specifically for early luggage drop off. No other access to the property is allowed until door code is sent. Please respect our team and their time by dropping off items and leaving the property promptly.
Trash- We do have city trash pickup service! The bins lid must close completely due to wildlife. The day of the trash pickup day is Tuesday morning. If you are staying on Monday night, please bring bins to the curb. If you have excessive trash or the bins cannot close there are two free to drop sites (Clean Bear site 1 & 2).
Thank you in advance for helping us keep this amenity! Many rentals do not allow this service due to lack of local support if something goes wrong. We are happy to allow this service, please respect nature and keep our forest clean!

Ride share programs are very limited and not reliable. A vehicle is highly recommended for Bear Valley.

Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The
maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.
No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music
carrying beyond the property line.
Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Take trash to dumpster locations if it does not fit in bins. Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear locations:4190 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd.
Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and severe consequences.
Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation.
Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the reservation holder.

My family and I had the best time at this home! Location is very convenient to local parks and town if you need to pick anything up. The house has all the amenities and appliances you can think of. All the beds and rooms were clean and comfortable. The star of this home is the outdoor deck, with incredible a view of the lake. One thing to note is there is no AC in the main house as the listing notes, but there are ceiling and standalone fans in each room - we went on a particularly warm weekend so we just had to make sure we opened the windows and closed the curtains to keep the rooms cool. The garage does have AC so that was helpful! Would stay again on another trip to Big Bear.
We really enjoyed staying here. The house (unlike many others in Big Bear) is well maintained and upgraded. Massive backyard with private bay views and the game room is a lot of fun. There is an American restaurant and a (small but really good) pizza place in walking distance, the marina is literally around the corner and even the village is less than 10 minutes away. Definitely goes on our favorite list!!
We had a great stay and look forward to coming back. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. My guests and I had a lovely memorable stay.
